NDCs & Non-NDC Areas (shp)

Neighborhood Democratic Councils shapefiles were downloaded from Guyana's Bureau of Statistics website and from Diva-GIS. Both shapefiles appear to be of the same origin, which is still unknown. Regional boundaries were fixed using the authoritative regional maps from OpenLayers. Several NDC boundaries were fixed using NDC and constituency maps from GECOM.

Consituency Boundaries

The boundaries of GuyNode's constituency shapefiles are based on descriptions and sketches published by GECOM, the Elections Commission of Guyana. Some of the sketches were difficult to interpret, because they were not drawn against a topographic map background, as was done in other cases.
